My only problems with the 360 stemmed from people stealing them from me.

You know, every time I say that I know of no one that doesn't have problems with it, someone always replies, but says about the same thing..... lost it, got stolen, little brother smashed it....

Well, I have one police report, filed against my Halo 3 Special Edition 360 a year ago. It's never turned up.
The second one, I just didn't give a shit about because I know they'll never find it anyway. It was a classic white one.

Third one's in my living room right now.

I should've seen the first two thefts coming -- I was in a transitional housing program full of old men who were for the most part technologically dumb.

to tell the truth, ive never had problems out my first one....WE as in my and my college roomies Put that thing through hell and high water....and even in poor ventaltion and in a HOT ROOM during the winter....and it died after playing gears of war 2 and Oblivion for hours and hours on end without any broke or rest. so We literally destroyed that thing in college. this one was bought form EBAY and was a POS form day one, but it worked so i didnt think nothing of it til i looked at the production date on the back and realized ive fucked up. it lasted all of my second college year and til now...nearly a year later....I started having heating problems recently and started freexzing unless i had a fan in front of it. and not, it stopped all togehter...it may work later i dunno, but its over atm. this time...im just going to buy a NEW one from the store and not some second rate junk from Ebay....no matter if it is new or been refurbished. it still sucked and bit the bullet.

I've abused the hell out of my GameCube and PS2, and have played a ton of Wii, and everything works just fine for me, even after 3 years of my ps2. Then I got stupid and tried to mod my PS2, and broke it. I had to get a slim, which has problems with dual layers. But my 'Cube and Wii have never worked better, even after dropping my Cube off a 6 foot shelf, upside-down. (I fixed it by dropping it again, in the opposite direction.) Try doing that to a 360, and you're screwed....

It's the same reason why I laughed at people who had a PiecaShitPortable. Those things broke way too easily for a handheld....

well, like what my buddy in college told me...."these new games arnt really games anymore, but kinda like small computers" and with that....you can just expect to do that with a 360 or a PS3 or you'll melt them down. I wii...well, other than playing full sized disks, are just smaller g cubes. They dont generate nearly the amount of heat as the PS2 and 360 do......the level of heat mine made rivaled my rig, which only does that when the thermal grease is dry or fans need cleaning. in this case *cause ive cleaned the heat sink and fans and it lasted for 3 days before it started it up again.... and about the PS2...ive put mine in a cabinet in this table my tv sat on in school and it would get hot, it would freeze form time to time, but nothing serious. those things were better designed than the latter two. and the slim ps2s where just a joke in my eyes.... anyways, thats just my opinion. I dont mind them *as long as you get one built in this year or after november 07. but you cant just expect to run a PS3 or 360 for that matter like a gcude/wii or a PS2...youre just asking for trouble. and yeah, ive done stupid things with mine both times...and both times i ended up paying the price for that....... so it looks like im in line for another one.....just going to have to get an intercooler for it and sit it in the open and not somewhere where it recirculates the hot air..... though, there really isnt any good spot for it here in my room that i can think of.

The funny thing is, I have only herd of one or two people having problems with the PS3, but millions have problems with the 360.

lol yom might want to rank those numbers in with the 360 numbers...my friend told me its not all what it seems when it came to that *this guy was a gaming nut so he knew a good bit and he knew alot of PS3 owners* he said it gets hotter than the 360, and he said its also what killed his first ps3, brand new....had it only 3 weeks then it died on him. so now he always use a inter cooler on his. and, i guess after failure two, this is the time i get me one for my future 360
Im not taking any chances with these things anymore....two games is enough. time to take care of them more than i did with the last two

huh.... that's interesting. Not having seen a PS3 in action, that's a good thing to know.

yeah. if you get one. make sure its well ventilated or has an inter cooler to help cool it down. those were the main reasons both mine suffered from....that and me and my constant playing in the heat or hot rooms

lol, thats for true. I certainly aint buying one until they do. lol thats the only reason i bought the other one....i got it for 80 buck form a whole sell seller....and it lasted a good while until i started putting it close to where i sit and it started over heating due to poor ventilation
but yeah....i might buy next......but only iff theyre games pic up....and wii only has metroid for me, soo, im sorry mario fans, but im more of a metroid fan than anything

Speaking of which.... I can't wait for Metriod Prime Trilogy to come out!

If it's the typical RRoD, it does get 3 years of coverage, at the very least, unless it's been modified. :o

lol like he said, this one was an ebay one, so no coverage, though the guy sis say i could send it in, but i wasnt going to send it in just to get the lens cleaned so i did it myself. and its the 3 blinking lights. a 0102 error, which is an unknown error as far as I know.

Bigshow fork out the moeny to get the motherboard fixed and the GPU fixed aswel its the only way

hehe you know whats funny? *buy sheer luck at that!!!* I GOT NOT ONLY MY USED 360 BACK UP AND RUNNING, BUT I GOT MY FIRST ONE RUNNING AGAIN TOO!!! lol so now i got two 360s.....in case one fails on my again like before. and to think i was going to use my 360 arcade for spares. now im using it again and its keeping cooler than the pro i bought off ebay. *i think its the fans or the fan heat sensor or something. I was going to see if i could get the second one hot enough that it would play or try to load and freeze *like it did when it stopped* and i saw that when i was turning it off and on after letting it run for a good 3 minutes, it tried to come back....so i decided to wing it and grabbed a pair of shorts and wrapped it around it and covered the ports....and i let it ran for a while, then i turned it upside down and let it ran for a minute or two and then hit the power button, when i turned it on...low and behold it started up...I tried to two more times to see if it wasnt a fluke....and then i let it cool, and it started working again.......so i got the bright idea to try it with my first one. and sure enough....it worked *i didnt let it run too long, just til it got hot and then i turned it off and on really quick to see if it green lighted or red lighted.* but yeah, now i got two 360s that work....hell....the heat even fixed that scaler issue that made the graphics go all nutty in my first one. and not it works AWESOMELY.....for now at least...until the big one at least, lol
