Also I'm sorry to hear that Grand River Kayak is closing down. I can imagine that it must be quite difficult for a business like that to stay afloat nowadays.

Yeah, that just ... wow - that was such a well drawn C3 and so beautifully made the centrepiece of the image - very much deserved the nod. And yes I saw that, though I suggested offering the hi-res packs outside of Patreon as well. Quite a few folks (myself included) are done with Patreon.

And yeah, it's extremely sad that such a great company run by such good folks has to suffer because of a ton of influences that are out of their control. The best thing we got out of that business was the friendships of the owners and all the good folks that were regulars there. That, at least, never goes away. :)

Really sorry to hear about the Grand River Kayak closing down. At least you'll always have the memories, and maybe another enthusiast will rise to take up their mantle someday. :)

You might've guessed my favorite from this post - Tazara's feature proves that even their sketched work is gorgeous. There's so much personality in this sketch; I love the muted colour scheme~!

Yeah - I would LOVE to have the place they do, and would love to do that sort of thing myself if I could. The reality likely is that it will take years for the market to refresh in that area, and there will always be conflict with the town who seems to want to work against local business instead of with them. But yes... many fond memories from there, and life-changing experiences in finding a love for kayaking.

*Shakes head* "Liked" the sketch of Freith... good gods, that's an understatement if ever I read one.
