Yeah...it's really rather stupid. I don't know anything about making sties, but I'd imagine letting people change their account names would be less of a pain than having a metric fuck-ton of dead accounts on the site, because people wanted a new name.

honestly i cant even see the issue bc furaffinity URLs are like "view/XYZ" it's not "view/USERNAME/XYZ"

bc the only reasoning i can think to not change usernames is because youd have to change a bunch of links sitewide
