Voting changes nothing~

That's what the Russians and the fascists told us and now we have white supremacists ruling the country.

It might sound cool to talk like you're "above politics," but to those people whose lives are endangered by an election going the wrong way, it comes off as not caring if they live or die. Many such people are my fans and your fellow furries. I know you're not in the US, so you're probably tired of hearing about our politics, but please be more considerate.

Also it's pretty much impossible to effect large-scale change on a large-scale political system from the outside without violent revolution, so if we don't want that then...working inside the system by voting, campaigning, and working issues is the way to go.

Yep! And that's what I've been doing for the past two years. Still manage to get some furry writing done, though. ; )

I'm rather proud that the state I live in is one of three that as of Monday I believe it was already had more voter turnout from early voting than the total votes for 2014. ^_^

Wish we had done better, but I'll take what I can get. :p

Yeah, some of the state elections were rough (ND lost too), but at a national level we basically did the impossible. The GOP had gerrymandered and suppressed the vote, so taking the House from them was a shock to me—in the best possible way. It's like a weight has been lifted off me I've been carrying for two years. : )

Ugh, yeah...I heard about an entire bus of voters getting turned away, Native American's getting blocked from voting...and then they still gripe about how the Democrats are 'cheating'. :p
