Yeah, I played it. I didn't get TOO far in it, what with the darkess giving me a headache, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Some of the plot ideas are pretty imaginative. The guy eating spiders in the locked room freaked me out like shit.

Neato. I haven't gotten that far yet, but I really aughta' brave the spooky/poor-light induced headaches and play more of that.

I play it in the dark. Probably not as healthly but fffffffffffuck thaaaaat.

It isnt that far into the game, but with all the ducking behind boxes because of mutant dog, it took quite a while to get there.

Sturpid thing. First time seeing it and having no weapons. Took me so many deaths to get that 'lead him to the electric wires' thing right.

no, im talking about right at the begining of the first one. You have to blocade a door to stop a wolfbusting through and...i think I did it wrong, bollocks.

Yeah, see, I didn't even know I had the tech demo until I tried playing it again, couldn't find the other part to the Acid, and tried to consult a walkthrough... finding that it was veeeerrrryyy different than what I thought.
I downloaded the demo freakin' ages ago, only now gotten around to 'beating' it. I downloaded the others today. Hopefully I can get my 'Silent Hill' fix from them :P

Heheheh, that must have been...confusing.
The puzzles on it can be really clever. There was a bit at the second one where you had to get through a locked door that was asking for a blood sample. It was a very *lightbulb* moment.

I'm still only 20 odd minutes into the 1st one, pretty much only enough to get to the 'save' artifact because I spent a lot of time trying out things and fiddling with the objects.
The game REALLY built the atmosphere, though. When I got the hammer I was STILL afraid to confront anything, not like in Doom 3 when it's like, once you get the mini-gun the game just seems to stop trying to scare you.
The first Silent Hill was a lot like this; not a lot of enemies, but enough ways to make you THINK there's one around every corner.
