I'm not sure what's going on, maybe a lack of motivation or something, but I've definitely noticed that the speed in which I get things done has taken a nose dive. I don't know how people do it, banging out pieces in a couple days. At this rate, it's taking me a week or two just to get linework done!
Maybe I need to do something different. I'm not really sure what though, I've kind of been grasping at ideas for a while now. I have a couple pictures I want to do, but I know it's going to take a while. I've toyed around with the idea of doing a collab, or trade, or possibly even commissions (though, that last one gives me a nervous sweat, I don't think I'm good enough lmao).
For now, I'll keep on trucking! I'm still around, just moving at a snails pace ;)

2- have someone to bounce ideas off of. that often works for me. having spicy conversations to get things going, get me excited about finishing something
3- commissions, fuck yeah! I'd be all over that if my finances allow me to do so ^^
Typically, I bounce ideas off of my partner, though it never hurts to have more. Aside from him though, I don't really have anyone to bounce ideas off of. Spicy conversations can be fun ;) as long as there is some kind of substance to it, lmao.
As far as commissions go; That's a good shot in the arm :) thanks! My biggest struggle is I really have no clue on pricing lol. I'd also want to look into like, tiers almost. Sketches vs flats vs shaded vs full pictures, etc. :)
as for spicy conversations, i tend to pick a particular subject i want to discuss, (or the person i am talking with) sometimes the goal is to help out a friend with their story so we just talk and let ideas flow.
And price.... i wouldn't know either. I could be a dick and say low prices just to get cheap commissions out of it. but i prefer to support the artist with a fair price. but you can always raise/lower it when you feel its under or over priced
Haha. I know we’ve talked about them in the past over on Tumblr :) I’ll think about what I want to do, bounce a few ideas off some of my art friends and see what they think. I’d like prices to be fair and reasonable, without selling myself short XD
Hah. My spicy conversations usually boil down to ‘who is banging who where and how’. So far, that’s worked for me ;) though, I’m still tossing around the idea of doing a comic of some sort. I have a few ideas but I’m not really sure where to begin. It’s been ages since I wrote anything XD
