Fury and his Howling Commandos"), His eye for talent kept Marvel at the forefront of comics, until the independents rose in the mid 1980's Commonly seen in cameos in the MCE films, he had stepped away from comics, to get into animation, and then film. Now Marvel is a shadow of it's former self, and Stan Lee's problems with relatives and business partners have been in the news lately. At least he left an enduring legacy of entertainment, and fun.
