Life Update
I don't usually talk about my personal life much outside of my interests and whatnot, but today was rough on me and I want a chance to vent/keep you guys in the loop about what's happening.
So, my fiance and I are planning on moving the end of the year/beginning of 2019. We're really excited to finally be living on our own, so we've been prepping and trying to save up while we stay with family. I've been working a day job as a cashier/baking assistant for a local bakery and putting 80% my earnings towards savings for the last few months. I saw this job as a blessing and I genuinely enjoyed my time working there, but as of today I've been let go from that job because, as the owner put it, I "lack the experience [they] want in an employee." (I.e, I lack professional baking experience.)
I'm not going to complain about the hardships of finding a new job, but I'll admit I'm scared for the future; scared of this set-back pulling me back into a depression and the strain this will put on our savings. I'm taking a few days to recover before I start job-hunting again, and I'll be opening commissions soon to help pay bills while I'm in-between jobs. I also have a ko-fi available for donations, which are very much appreciated!
I'm both excited and scared for the future, but I have determination and faith that good things will come in time. Thank you to all the people who've supported me thus far. It means a lot to me.
