do you do the reload method? uploading the pic right after its uploaded usually keeps the quality of the image

Okay so the image itself isn't being 'contrasted' when resized. It's just FA doing it. I tried reuploading it right now, didn't seem to work. Thank you for the suggestion though!

Sounds like a colorspace issue. Some browsers display images with the embedded color profile, but some don't. Do you work in sRGB in Photoshop? If not, and your monitor has a custom profile (especially wide colorspace ones) you can run into those sorts of issues.

Hmm, that could be it. Cuz I tried uploading it to other sites and it had the same issue. But opening the shrunk image in SAI (the program I use for drawing) it still looks fine. Is there a way to circumvent this in the fufutre or at least prep me for how it'd look?

If you have Photoshop, you can try opening it there and setting the view mode to sRGB to give you an idea of how it looks on other people's monitors. Or open the shrunken image in your browser before uploading. Should just be able to drag 'n drop.
The only "alternative" would be to remove your monitor's color profile in Windows, but that'll probably make it look terrible.


Or if you got another monitor/computer, view it there. xD Color profiles are fun stuff.
