Well tbf, the severity of his crime outweighs the one you were placed with since he downloaded IRL stuff regarding that. Which to me is the hard line between drawn and real life. It sound like mine and your brother's is similar. If you read the summary or watched the YT video it does state that I did download CP back in 2014. So the situation isn't dissimilar unless your brother was attempting to chat with real underaged girls to meet in RL.

I've been treated like shit by a lot of people and the so called justice system for simply pressing a download button but everyone seems to be okay with having an alleged rapist as a Supreme Court Justice and an alleged pederast in the oval office. Bottom line is I didn't physically harm or molest anyone and I'm tired of feeling bad simply because the "justice" system tells me to. There's no real supply nor demand structure in place for CP since it's just floating around for free in cyber space. If a pederast is going to molest a child and document it in footage then upload it to the internet that's their prerogative. To claim he or she was trying to fulfill a demand is shear conjecture which has been wrongfully utilized in US courts for decades. So in the major majority of these cases there is no real supply and demand, no "market", and thus no affect on interstate or foreign commerce which makes it a federal offense. Any other argument is overreaching garbage.

Believe me I was locked up with a bunch of people in prison for CP and non of them have ever paid for CP. Some didn't even know they had downloaded it and a disturbing amount were locked up for family photos willfully misconstrued as CP in order to intimidate them into a plea agreement through the potential decades of prison time they would face if they took it to court. Out of all the inmates I meet in prison charged for actual hands on sex crimes I've meet 3. The amount people are punished for mearly downloading images is horribly disproportionate to people who've committed actual rapes or molestations. That's what I'm geting at.
