I'm trying to make art!

A friend of mine recently gave me their Wacom Intuos tablet, and I've been doodling around in Krita. The issue is, I have very little experience in art as a whole and am having difficulty with progressing past silly scribbles and making shapes. How should I start? I know I'm not going to be great at first, but I'm having issues taking the first step at all.
FA+

if ya cant decide how to start, scribble things ya like: tets, videogame characters (pacman is nice for beginners, lol), cool insects or spaceships for example, i dunno.
i think the main thing is to like what ya do so draw what ya like the most, when it start to turn out great ya will know what to do next =3
when i first got my tablet, it still took me around a year to get into using it constantly. i'd turn on sai, doodle for a while, then turn it off, having done no substantial work. i'd be scared of trying anything but lines.
that was 5 years ago. in that time, i've learned that an important part of mkaing digital art with a program is knowing the workflow. the zoomin in and out, the erasing versus ctrl+z, how to use the layers. all super important things that aren't the problem solving of perspective and porportions and anatomy.
krita is a fine image creation software, and one that's well enough known. i reccommend to you: go on yt, look up 'krita basics,' get a feel for how to move around, how to shortcut your way to your fancy, how layers work.
from there, just draw. i notice someone said drawabox, i like u/uncomrtable, he's cool, has a community. you could figure out how to do figure studies from Vilppu or Bridgman, or you could learn to sight sketch from Hogarth. orrrrr, just look up pictures of animal people, cry cuz you're not as good, then doodle into oblivion while you watch yt speedpaints TT-TT
hope this all helps! have a great day and a better tomorrow.
I'm in that doodle and delete phase at the moment and am trying to get In the habit of drawing basic shapes and getting used to how the movements scale up when I draw. I'll check out those studies when I get the chance and post an update when ever I see any noticeable progress.
Again thank you for your input, I appreciate you taking your time to give me tips and I'll most definitely use them in the future. Have a great day yourself ^^
