Too bad, I just hope the government here doesn't apply this policy simply because
"owo better work with the EU!" how it often tends to do.
Still, wtf....
And with companies like Microsoft beigg able to break EU law repetedly and still get away with and receiving EU contracts ( and doing the same basically everywhere in the world, too, like the USA themselves ), the content companies have a willing ally to support and back up their lobbyists.
One of the main weaknesses in the current EU legislation is, in my opinion, that there is no need for lobbyists to identify themselves. Everybody who wants to have access to EU politicans should, however, mbe made visible. When I hand in a petition, after all, its onyl valid when I state my name, which thus goes into the public archives.
I think that lobbyists in the USA are centrally registered, and their access to senators and congressmen is logged, but I may err there. But such a system would help a lot to give the EU some more credibility and trust back. At the very least from my quarter.
