Taxes and Commissions?
Hey guys I am just curious to other commissioners in the US, how do you guys handle taxes? I'm going to ask a professional also but wanted to see what fellow commissioners said in the mean time. Because I was doing so research today and am feeling confused X'D...
Like different things confuse me like what forms to use and how to put the income from paypal? Like from each individual person? Or like the one final sum of the year? So confusing x'D

(you know what, I'll send you a note because I just realized I shouldn't be writing out some personal info XD)
it probably depends on your state and how you file your taxes though! its always a good idea to keep records of this sorta thing, just in case! (i use a chart i made in a spreadsheet program to document how much was paid and by who, though dates are something i need to add for next year)
sorry for a barebones response, but i hope it at least gives you a starting point
Depending how much you make off freelance income, it may be worth your while to go through a CPA rather than the usual online tax services. A good CPA will know all the complex IRS legal hocus-pocus to lower the amount of money you owe as much as possible.
I'm also in California so I feel your pain on this, ugh.
And oh! that's good to know, thanks for that ^^!
And yeah California can be rough X'D
I think Paypay might generate a tax form for you if you've received more than that, but it might be good to check the FAQ over there to make sure. You'd report that as income from one "workplace", so you shouldn't need to split everything out. Even though you took multiple clients in the year, it's all just under being self-employed. Taxes on that generally hurt.
