It feels good to run!

There are not many times when an adult feels the need to run. Today, I missed UPS by seconds. When I heard the doorbell I threw on a shirt and sweat pants and went to the door, but they were already gone. So without thinking, I ran. I watched them pull out of my driveway, and I ran almost two blocks trying to catch them. They pulled in at an apartment complex so I was able to catch up. The odd thing is, I wasn't even winded. I'm a 40 year old cat and I smoked for all of my adult life up until about 5 years ago. So by all rights, running like that should kill me lol. But it felt great! I mean, running at full tilt was almost effortless. God it was nice!
BTW I do walk Digitigrade in everyday life because I have heel spurs. So running Digitigrade was natural. I just didn't expect to be able to go that fast for so long and not be winded lol. ..Maybe my 'other' training has something to do with it ;)

i've sprinted to race a bus to its stop occasionally. but even that's been a couple of years since the last time.
when i was 40 i think i did about a hundred times more walking then i do now though.
i miss living someplace that would give me more encouragement to do so.
no bone spurs, but the air doesn't like my lungs.
