Ok guys, I know it's been like...3 years since I posted regularly, however. life has changed drastically since last you heard from this wild rambling fox.
Since I posted my last journal, I have moved not once, but three times. twice cross country. Life...has been in upheaval. When I left my ex, I went to Colorado for a bit, but found myself in Texas shortly thereafter. Unfortunately life got in the way of art more than I could have ever fathomed. I've since removed myself from that situation and have gotten my muse back.
This wasn't without /alot/ of help from my friends, both with the escape from my ex, and with the return of my muse. I can't thank them enough. My way of repaying them is by really buckling down and trying to post new art much more frequently, and since one of those friends is now a roommate, he can walk over to me and smack me up side the back of my skull and shove my stylus in my hand. (for which I will thank him and try to draw something, promise!)
aside from life changes....art! Holy crap, I never thought getting away from photoshop would help me get better at digital art, but it has. A month ago, after about 8 years of banging my head against adobe, I tried out Krita. (forgive me if I misspell it as Kryta, it's far too close to a region in a game I love) And the art has been pouring out. not all of it publishable, some of it was just doodles. but some, I am legitimately PROUD of! Not only is it looking good, but it's coming out faster too! So much so that I'm testing the waters of commissions. I still have a full time job, so instantaneous output is not a thing, but I'd say about a week should get a piece out to a client if they hit me on a sunday.
I'd love to know if people were interested, even if they aren't...I'm still gonna keep drawing. a hell of alot more than I have in the past.
