Learning to draw in other people's style in general is kind of meh anyway.

I'm not trying to permanently copy it but I'd like it to be similar enough to make the piece look good.

Plus taking the time to learn some anatomy and realism wouldn't hurt in the slightest

It's usually better to do the anatomy thing with actual photographs and such. Once you've learned it for real, then it's so much easier to toonify it, and it'll have the added bonus of being your own style.

I mean yeah, Araki does most of his poses from Michelangelo art books and take a lot of influence from that. I'll definitely do the same learning I'm not going to try and learn anatomy from his style. I'll use other sources to practice and then go into it.

With the touch of realism and anatomy he uses it will be difficult. We are talking of a man though that uses Michaelangelo art books as reference for his posing. A hard road ahead.

Step 1: turn pressure sensitivity OFF
step 2: draw the first pose that comes to your mind (or look up fashion modeling pictures)
step 3: draw as many straight lines as possible
step 4: use low-saturation colors
That's the simplest way to imitate the style in a passable way... I would make sure to practice by visually copying a drawing or two.

Unfortunately I don't have a tablet it's all on paper but I will do my best practicing
