MFF Review & 2019 Con List
Hey! So, we survived MFF. Lol, best way to describe it. Idk if it's because I'm getting older or what, but that whole experience was only fun because I was with my husband the entire time and we MADE it fun for each other.
Too big, too spread out, I already get claustrophobic in small spaces, and those hallway mazes back and forth were misery, I almost had a panic attack in my new suit because of them, the weather was too shitty for outside pictures, Just overall I was NOT impressed enough to go back. It was also naturally MUCH MORE expensive then AC. I easily dropped close to 2 grand on the entire trip for the both of us, and that was without breakfast and lunch most days which we brought ourselves. I'd honestly have rather saved that money to go back to Disney World after a little more saving!!
Highlights? The Con Suite which was open to EVERYONE. I LOVED that. I loved knowing I had a guaranteed place to get free food and drink if I was feeling hungry, and the shop in the Hyatt was reasonably priced for snackfoods and drinks.Going to the Sugar Factory on Sunday was an absolute BLAST, I had so much fun there with my friends and made some new ones and had tons of awesome food and drinks! The Escape Room by FuzzyLogic was a ton of fun too! I'm glad we got to experience that. And I'm really glad we SPONSORED. We got to skip the worst of the horrific reg line and got preferred seating for the major events. That really made a world of difference. And the free Brunch on Saturday was HEAVEN.
Art Show was hella organized and friendly, and I hope it got the word out about my work a bit with my elephant showing. The Staff were all really sweet and nice, which was nice to see.
The downsides outweight the good tho unfortunately, so we'll be passing on it in the future. But I'm super glad we got to try it out and see what all the fuss was about!
Now, for 2019, I'll be working things a little closer to the collar and staying on the East Coast for the most part.
ANE (Feb)
FTM (March)
FWA (May)
AC (as dealer assistant/work/marketing) (July)
PFC (MAYBE) (April)
TPC (PROBABLY MAYBE) (August)
...aaaand thats probably gonna be it. I think keeping my fall months clear of cons will be the way I have to roll because November this year was SO rough, and if I'd hadn't had to deal with Furpoc and MFF, I could have been more efficient and gotten more done.
So I hope to see some of you in 2019! And keep an eye out for more updates and fun stuff here, I mean to get back into FA but orders and trying to recover from November/MFF is taking up a lot of my time right now, not to mention the holidays being so close. I'll get to it eventually!
