Life Update!! Fall 2019 and BEYOND!
So hey! Its been a while, figured I’d drop by and dump iff some new life uodates.
Butterscotch and I are living in married bliss and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. He’s a good bun and we take good care of each other. Been so proud of him this year what with all his job changes and opportunities, it really makes me happy to see he’s found a place that also doesn’t feel like work so much because its something he enjoys.
The year has been a crazy roller coaster ride for me, but what first year business isn’t riding the ups and downs of figuring out how to make that money work out and balance it all for 12 months! Its definitely been a huge learning curve and I’ve been trying to stay 5 steps ahead of it. So far so good! As we enter the infamous holiday season I’m of course in the dark as to how things will go compared to last year, and its hard to prepare really. Think of it like a business version of that Bird Box movie. Lol!
Other then the hustling aspect, I am 100% loving being able to work from home. It’s literally a dream come true for me. I’m not doing exactly what I expected I would be doing, but hey, whatever works right? I thrive so much on being uninterrupted and motivating myself to get projects finished.
Honestly the only thing that I feel is lacking is...well, space. Me and the bun definitely want to consider children someday and there’s simply no place to put them in the house currently. Plus, I’m working out of a glorified closet and my business stuff unavoidably overspills into our living space and we both agree it would be best for both of us and my own mental state if I had my own building to work out of, and the living space could be truly seperate.
So, we’ve started house hunting in earnest. We won’t be able to afford much, since my income is basically useless on account of I’ve only officially been doing it full time for about a year, so only Butters income can be counted for a loan. But up here is luckily fairly cheap, so we are hoping to get lucky and find a nice house that fits all our needs within our price range.
That will be next year’s adventure, selling this house and buying a new one I think! We never do anything small anymore, its always go big or go home .
On the con front, I may only be able to justify any future trips if we are selling at the con itself. Saving for a house is a biggie right now and it maintains priority over anything convention related. So that whole schedule will be a TBA for now.
Suitwise I’m looking at a Bamf 2.0 finally, and yet another refurb for Elbi’s body. I’m never happy! But not really looking to buy anymore or make anymore to keep (unless a premade stands out to me!) Still have yet to find a maker’s style I just have to have, and the market is so saturated nowadays...Maybe I’m just too picky lol. But it definitely works for me cuz I’m saving money!
I definitely miss my fuzzy friends and I know its been ages since I’ve seen a lot of you, but I’’m doing just fine, adults gotta adult, and hopefully I get to see some of you soon!
