Happy New Year!!! I'm hoping 2019 will bring in much more happiness than what 2018 was. Sadly, as we all get older - the people we truly care most will be taken away from us. Experiencing a death of a parent was something I didn't think would be so painful. Now, with this new year, my goal is "renewal" for myself as I make 52 years on January 25th. This is the year I will finally have my Grizzly Bear Fursuit (May 9th 'unboxing' at 'Furry Weekend Atlanta'). It's appropriate to debut 'Joe Bear' at FWA, as it was the con that truly changed my life in so many ways. The friends I've made in The South have been beyond anything I could've even imagined. The Furry Fandom has been an amazing bridge to meet and know younger people and making very close kinships!! True Southern Hospitality EXISTS!! I Love Ya and Thank You Y'all!!! **FURTHER CONFUSION 2019** I will be flying from Long Beach (LGB) to San Jose (SJC) on JetBlue - Wednesday 01/16 arriving at 7pm. I will be staying at a friend's house (non-furry) for Wed night only. My friend will drive me to San Jose Marriott on Thursday 01/17/19 at 12 Noon. My goal is to check in to the room before the Pre-Reg Line opens 2pm at 'THE HUB' (SJCC). My 'Roomies' who will be with me include

If you see me, please come up and ask for a hug!!! **FC PANEL** I will be co-hosting my FIRST Greymuzzle Panel at Further Confusion with my partner 
MelWhite on Friday 5pm at San Jose Marriott "Almaden" Conference Room. Unlike FWA's Panel, there will be no prizes to giveaway. Having Mel White as a cohost is an honor - she is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Richland College near Dallas, TX and has been involved in the fandom for decades, including being involved with FurScience. If yer attending FC next weekend, Please join us for this very special event. I will also have 
thomasfox assist me with transport beverages and snacks from Safeway to my room, so if the 4th Floor Party Area is a bit too much, come up to our room for a bottle of cold water or a soda/ice tea anytime during our stay from Thursday to Monday 01/17-01/21. I'll see ya in San Jose!!! Joe G. Bear
