new year, new....something?

i feel like i make this kind of journal every year, full of promises and hopes and resolutions I intended to keep at the time, but never do. So who knows if this ramble will hold any more value than any other journal like this I've done...or maybe this will be the time I actually follow through with something -- who knows!!
Let's start with the usual of all these journals -- I want to post more. I want to draw more again in general and have actual content to share with you all. It's been on going for yEARS now for me of just...not drawing until I absolutely have to and its just...become not fun anymore that way? I want to ENJOY it again, ya know? If anyone has any suggestions for dealing with that, feel free to share, please!
The other probs obvious is I want to work on things I'm not good at -- shading, backgrounds, dynamic poses, maybe anthro down the line, EVERYTHING. I just want to actually improve and strive for more than just being complacent with where I'm at and doing the same thing over and over again. I just want to experiment and try new things and...not hate everything I create? I still need to figure out how to get into that mindset of 'you're learning, don't be so hard on yourself', otherwise I just stop...trying because its not perfect the first time LOL. Again if anyone has any suggestions on that....
And speaking of having fun with things, I think I'm going to take a step back from the NSFW art. Because I just...don't have fun with it anymore. It was fun at first, and tbh I still don't MIND doing it. But I just...want to get to draw clean stuff again and be liked for more than just drawing dog dick lmao. Really I'll just probs take less NSFW commissions (whenever I do start taking coms again) and have an adult content fee. IDK haven't decided yet. BUT YEAH. I don't have fun drawing porn anymore, so I'm just...not going to, unless it's something I really want to do, probs for myself //shrugs
also might go back to having a separate acc for that stuff too?? DUNNO YET we'll see
I really want to start getting into character design and that sort of stuff. IDK if I wanna make it a career -- probably not tbh, but who knows down the line. For now I'd just like to dip into it on my own -- character design, story telling, etc. maybe I'll get into using twitter more often for that or something! WHO KNOWS here's my twits just in caseee
