Why do I only post about music here?

Sorry to folks who have to delete all these journal notifications because they don't listen to homo music >_<
That being said, I know a number of folks on my previous music posts have been fans of acts like the National, so I wanted to ping them on whether they're listening to the Maccabees' album Wall Of Arms.
It was produced by Markus Dravs, who worked on Neon Bible for Arcade Fire, so there are notes of that throughout, and I think the vocalist's general song-speak delivery is very much in line with the National's sound.
Basically, I've been listening to this album on loop (minus the track "No Kind Words" which gets skipped maybe half the time), so if you like the music that I like, you'll like this.
And because YouTube is the currency of the internet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fs1wkwAMQc

There seem to be about 40-50 people who listen to similar music and like talking bands -- hopefully everybody else watching me is willing to forgive the spam <3

I don't have time right now, but I'll make sure to check these guys out later when I get the chance :3 when you said something about a band with a sound like the national, I immediately figured you'd be recommending Silver Jews XD guess not though.
If you like them, you should check out Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips (both formerly of the band Luna). Here's their remake of a Buffy Sainte-Marie classic, Moonshot.
(always, with the dicks)
