One of the reasons I love FA

Yes there's nice people here, far more of a community feel, and although I don't draw porn I don't really feel left out.
All of that would be for nothing if it didn't WORK. This site is surprisingly good for that, as a free site! It may have some downtime, but I would rather have that then DA deciding it's not going to work half of the time.
I know DA is a lot bigger, but it's also making a lot more of a profit and can afford to hire people to iron problems out.
I don't really think the kind of service received is appropriate for a business site with subscribers!
At the moment I can't check any of my messages there, and 50% of the time the page will hang and I won't be able to view any images until something happens and it works 20 mins - 5 hours later.

I can't handle the large amount of users DA has, and youll almost never get noticed unless you draw anime or stupid shit.
People over there whine about FA and saying they didn't get noticed because they don't draw porn. It's weird because really, I've had a lot more interest here than at DA :S
Anyway, hurrah for FA!
At DA people are more busy dividing themselves are scaring each other into being rude and obnoxious. On FA this can be true too, but then again the whole common interest thing smooths over the worst of it. Well anyway thats just a thought. people can be very descriminating here. The whole "anthro" vs "Furry" thing, or the 'clean furs' vs 'pron furs', or 'anime furry' against 'realistic furry', or or orrrrrrr.... people spend way too much time inventing reasons to screw eachothers day and not enough time celebrating what they love about eachother. I suppose in that case DA and Furaffinity both have issues with descrimination and general drama but i think FA may either SEEM, or actually have less of, it because there are LESS differences for people to play around with and throw up in each others faces than compared to DA's network.
I like FA cause it eliminates just ONE more descrimination: being a fur and making anthro STUFF.
ONE less thing on my mind to worry about --.--;;
as far as the technical difficulties go I've only had issues with the letters suddenly turning huge on me when i looked at a deviation. But im a beta tester so maybe thats why little stupid things like that happen.
Im sorry you have issues with DA, but its good that you feel better at FA. everyone needs an oasis :)
Yes this is quite the oasis, it's really really irritating to have a site constantly stop working on you.
the message system could use a tiny bit of work here on FA but other than that i find myself hanging out here more than i do on DA as of late
I haven't had too many commissions here yet, but I take so long over each one that it is probably a good thing XD
Yeah, with the message system, I find myself clicking on all of my messages, deleting, only to find I clicked on the username and not the messages! However, that is far less annoying than DA's problems, because it's partly my fault lol!
I still use DA and will probably continue to do so simply because I post more of my photography there, but I'm noticing that when I finish a picture now I put it here first.
I'm glad FurAffinity is here - we need a place where our target audience (other furries and anthro lovers) are all together in one place so our art can truly be appreciated. =)
I think DA's setup is really bad for finding new artists, as the default page is 'most popular arts' whereas here, it's simply the most recent art.
