Back gracefully out of the pub, their last customer, singing along to Bill Withers' Lean On Me as it's on the speakers and cracking the staff up.
But the wider message is: when you have had a crap day, do your best to increase the local human happiness around you by any tiny gesture that is available to you. If everyone did that, nobody would ever be sad again :)

But I do generally enjoy the black stuff :)
Go at the same time to the same place daily and after a week you'll know some faces. Two weeks and they'll say hello. Three weeks and you don't feel so sad :)
I sometimes wish I was more of an extrovert, that being with people didn't make me so tired, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the only way that would happen would be through some unhealthy intake of alcohol. Don't get me wrong, I love the numbing feeling a couple of ciders brings me, but I feel that I'll just grow addicted to it at that rate... I'm already addicted to soft drinks, fuck knows what'd happen if I switched up to spirits! X_X
Oh well, maybe next time I go outside I'll take you up on your advice. Couldn't hurt to crack a half-assed smile couple o' times per month. >_>
But it's nice to get a nod and a smile from the other person, rather than have them just walk past looking the other way :)
