Ways to deal with break up?
As the title says.
Not going to go into details but if any of you has/had any experience with the topic, please do contact me.
I have been with someone for 7+ years and I just got dumped today. I already go to therapy but my next visit is next week and I do not know how to deal with this stuff, besides using really bad coping mechanisms.

Maybe it will sound weird, but it wasn't even a ""bad"" breakup, as in, it was something both were discussing (even if at different times). Long story short, I found out I was asexual (along with body dysphoria) while they aren't. It's really something out of our control and that I happen to find out much later in our relationship. I just knew it wasn't fair that I couldn't satisfy my partner (they were super respectful, never tried to impose themselves).
We also decided to remain friends as before we even got together, they were my best friend, but right now both of us are taking a pause from talking to "assimilate" the changes. Iy's hard because I am costantly tempted to get back in touch but I know the best thing to do is wait for now.
Ah I just feel as if I'd be emotionally draining if I asked for constant help. :X
I will remember you offered me help tho and keep that in mind, so thank you again! <:3
Hah, being asexual myself (and transgender), I got a divorce for some of the same reasons (and several more). I think you've made a good decision in doing this now instead of much later. I hope everything turns out okay for both of you.
No worries! I only answer stuff when I have the energy to do so, I know my own limits pretty well now. XD So if you do need to talk to someone, feel free to and I'll reply when I'm able to (it might take awhile and it might not; I'm kinda riding the horrible life roller coaster still).
