Alternatively, "Where the new worgen art at".
Oh boy where do I start. I guess I'll give it into 3 blocks:
Art related and technical
In a nutshell, there's absolutely zero time. I've been redoing the worgen model to be more "modular", because y'all get tired of seeing the same dog over and over again really soon and this will really speed up the workflow. By modular I mean swappable parts. Change the hair, armor, ears or boots on the fly. Also been trying to use 3DS Max's IK system and get it to work on the model, but that's a whole new can of worms of buggy clusterfuck. I don't really know what's up with 3DS Max and just breaking in really weird ways. Like here it just moves bones on its own when saving and loading the same save https://my.mixtape.moe/gciton.mp4 like bruh what the fuck is this shit
Then there's an issue with hardware. A 4th gen Core i5 and GTX 950 is really not enough for rendering these days. The reason why I never make animations is because I'd have to wait 24 hours for each frame or switch out renderers. No, GPU V-Ray RT rendering fails due of lack of VRAM. Sure, I could offload it to a dedicated server, but my home server runs on Core 2 Duo with a barely alive mobo and the dedicated server I have is just a mere Atom with 2 GB of RAM. At this point I feel like I should just wait for the worgen model update, because I'll be basically wasting time trying to polish a turd that will get a new version in a month or two (I HOPE). I'm also creatively in the trash. I can't really come up with any poses. Yesterday I was working for 5 hours on a single pose, trying to get it to look right, but in the end it looked absolutely crap, so I canned it. This isn't just a single time this happened. Last week on the weekend I tried to come up with something, stared at 3ds max window with a worgen in the middle for ten minutes trying to figure out what to make, followed by 30 minutes browsing e621 for any refs for a pose until I have given up.
I don't even know where to post about the technicalities, post materials for others, post WiPs or just post about unrelated projects that have nothing to do with my art. Yeah I've got an ESP8266 to connect to non-IoT Azure via RESTful API and send JSON data over Https that the chip can't even do natively, but who cares for that stuff.
Work
My life has turned out to be, incredibly busy after the new years? The place I work at currently requires for me to have a driver's license, but I was accepted even without one because they lacked people that would stay in the office. Now, a new project at work started (Can't share almost any details due of NDAs) that requires someone who speaks English really good, but it also requires a lot of driving. Because of this, I rushed out to get driver's license, and this past month has been just a nightmarish circle of work, driving school, sleep on constant loop. Also yolo I'm constantly pulling overtime until I burst into flames because need $$$ to fix my house. On top of having to remember over 1000 exam answers and model situations, I still have to constantly learn new crap for work and test out stuff in my home lab. Also I'm applying for a new job that's outside of my country, so if I get accepted and will have to relocate, that's even more downtime.
Health
Here's a surprise one. During the eye tests for driver's license, doctor discovered that I suffer from Red-Green color blindness. This basically got me thinking that all of the renders I have done have bad color balance and just shockingly bad colors. I've been also "lightly" sick for the past month, dumping ibuprofen and paracetamol into my system to just stay functional. This took a toll in a form of me getting actually heavily sick, and I'm on 3rd set of antibiotics without really any signs of recovery. Both of my ear canals are shot and I'm partially deaf on my right ear. Basically caught some nasty form of virus infection that made me bedridden. Don't munch ibuprofen and actually go to a doctor when feeling sick kids.
TL;DR
My health is down the dumpster, I'm also colorblind, really busy with IRL crap, got hit in the face with an art block and I've been basically rendering polished turds on a system that cost 300 Eur at the time when it was new. Wait did this just become a rant post?
I'm in for a hell of a ride.

Never feel rushed or obligated to do art - it'll come when it is ready, and worrying about it can add more stress that you don't really need. Waiting just makes it better when you post something new. Has more meaning.
Thank you for the update. God speed!
