So I went on Domestic Violence Leave back in October so I could move away and out of an abusive situation, and the company I worked for promised to hold a spot for me in the company so I could just transfer into a new store with no problem (I've transferred stores and it was so easy and quick)

aaand for some reason this store I applied to transfer into insisted on doing interviews with me instead of just transferring me like at my last location did. I had one interview, it seemed to go really well- I even tried to go through the interview as Wally instead of my deadname and the person was really receptive and sweet. I let them know I was on a time limit to get into a new store but I have 5 years of experience in a grooming salon, 3 years a groomer, and 1 year as a manager. I wasn't looking for a manager position, I was looking to be part time pet stylist,,,,

I just got an email saying they weren't going forward with my application and because of me waiting on them after a very promising interview-- everyone was excited to have someone apply with as much experience as I had-- I just... am separated from the company now.

Couple of my friends think it's because I'm Trans and introduced myself as such.... I sent an email to HR asking for an explanation as nicely as I could because I am very confused as to why this transfer didn't go as smoothly as my last transfer did and I'm... really really hoping it's not because I faced discrimination due to being a transman.... I was afraid of that in the first place but I really hope that that isn't the reason I didn't get this job.

and I really hope I'm not sounding whiny?? I'm just... really upset.

I revamped my resume with my godsister and I'm gonna start applying to places tomorrow so I can keep grooming...
