Do you even do this?

I noticed lately that when I draw someone else's OC it's really hard for me to put them into my style, because I have this weird feeling of "OH NO but they won't look like themselves!" UGH XD...
It's something I want to work on... I'm thinking of doing some gift art in the near future to practice that. Because I really want to not have that weird fear anymore, haha.

Yes, every time, that's why I try to make adaptations for my own style to make them fit, so long as the most distinguishing features are there. It's that character :D

I feel like the whole point of someone commissioning an artist is to see their character in that artist's style, and then if there's any problems with the depiction they can work together on a solution. As a writer though, I can definitely see where you're coming from, if I had to write someone else's character I would feel so weird.

Yeah haha I know, that's why I know it's such a silly thought. X'D And I can only imagine how hard it would be to write for someone else's OC!
