I can't remember if you've favourited my art in the recent past, but I hope my work has met a mouse-approval along the way. ^_^ That Mirror-M'Ress picture I put up a few weeks ago was, along with the discussion with Volkenfox we had about his own M'Ress work, part of the inspiration for what's proving to be a lengthy story I've been working on, based in the interregnum between the Enterprise-A being decommissioned at the end of Star Trek VI, and roughly five years before the loss of Admiral James T. Kirk on the 'maiden voyage'/rescue mission aboard the Enterprise-B (shown very early in Star Trek VII: Generations). The ship where most of the action takes place is an earlier-generation Excelsior Class Starship, aboard which much of the prototype-to-final-version, newly-developed tech is being built and tested, and eventually to be installed aboard the Enterprise-B, at that point late in its ship design. It was easiest to use an older-style Excelsior-Class ship as a testing and manufacturing platform for the tech, since by then the 1701-B's Starship Class had been chosen and intended to be built as a newer version of that class of ship.

It's partly a Mirror-Universe story (or involves it), about the relationship between Lt. Nyota Uhura and Lt. M'Ress, about the basic nature of, and difference between the Positive Universe(s) and Negative Universe(s), as well as shedding light on what happened in the Mirror Universe because of Kirk and Mirror-Kirk switching places by accident during the TOS episode 'Mirror, Mirror', and what the effects of the Negative Universe left behind inside of 'our' Kirk, even those twenty-five years later. It's a bit of a filling-in of one of the biggest blanks in TOS and TAS, as I'm writing it, anyway. :)

Hey there, Pyat-mouse you! ^_^ I'm still working on the Star Trek story, but as for putting it up somewhere...well, I've had more than a few people tell me after I gave them a fair bit of a detail on it, that I should try submit it for an actual published novel, as in a Trek Novel. I'd have no problem posting it here when it's done, in parts at least, but you might see it in print before that! :) Aside from one new work I started to writing three months ago, the newest of the pack, so to speak, my Trek novel-in-the-works has been the one of which I've hammered the most plot out of any of work I've got in the tube right now.
