Funeral Was Today

In eternity, where there is no time, nothing can grow. Nothing can become. Nothing changes. So death created time to grow the things that it would kill and you are reborn but into the same life that you've always been born into.
My Great Grandpa was laid to rest today. Because of his service history with the Army Air Corps and Air Force, he was given a ceremony with full military honors; Taps, rifles, folded flag, the works. It was a beautiful ceremony.
Its an odd feeling when you go to a funeral and you can say that it was beautiful. When my brother died he had an army funeral, 21 gun salute, we were chauffeured in a limo, given a flag and all that. Despite that feeling of sadness I couldn't help but leave with a smile.
