This is my idea.
The pictue includes at least 2 characters.
The first one is a normal looking fur. He's probably sitting on ghis desk at home. His face shows some light bruisess. Open in front of him is a diary, which he writen in. It goes about how horrible his day was, being bullied by jocks and feeling sad and alone.
But the magic happens in the background. While he write, some thing happen. The huge mirror shows the shadows of a buff furry, which the fur has writen about, as a protector. Meanwhile, letter from his diary float by his head, making the buff fur in the mirror more and more sharp.
I know it's a lot, but I hope the idea is good.

Another version includes the buff fur not being in the mirror but behind the front character as a shadow, while laying his paw on his shoulder saying: I'll protect you.
