In this day and age we must protect ourselves, our loved ones, and our patients. I personally could not imagine anyone I care for being at risk of any disease. To avoid unknowing contact here are some things you can do to protect yourself and others from not just the Plague but most illnesses.
~ Do not take in stray animals without a vet visit. Make as little contact with any stray animal before they've had a check up.
~ If a stray animal looks sick, DO NOT touch it. Call animal control/local dog catcher. Keep children away from the animal.
~ Wash your hands regularly with soap and warm water.
~ Cook your food all the way. Undercooked food can carry bacteria.
~ Cover coughs and sneezes; use hand sanitizer or wash your hands immediately after.
~ Don't share drinks with other people.
