As much as anything else I write to clarify my thoughts. This month we have been doing a time study at work. I find the results disturbing. I am not keeping up. My inclination is to work more time but I worked 12 hours yesterday I can't work more hours enough and still keep any part of me. Half of our nursing staff quit last week. That leaves just two of us to do the complex medical case management for the state foster care kids.

At least, I know why I can't find any time to write.

12 hours is way too much. There is nothing left to the day. It's OK if you have a 4 on 4 off schedule, like I did when working those hours - but if you don't get time off to take care of life, you're dead before you know it and nothing to show for life except work.

I had to put up with the crap from my child she has gon to China. If 10 hours a day would finish the work and let me at least be caught up I might choose to do it. But even at that or 10 hour days, I am just getting further behind.
