Yeah, frankly.. I'm all for privacy. But they implement that shit instead of doing what they should have done years ago: making the profile private if you want to. Sure, now you can make the avatar private, but I don't want my mom or my employer to know my nickname or my bio either ffs. (yeah by now I got a burner phone just for that)
Or how about forwarding something without leaking their profile to anyone you forward it to? If someone sends me a funny gif and I forward it to a group chat, I don't want to out them to everybody there.

Deleting other peoples messages has shit to do with privacy.In fact I can legit see no valid/non-scrummy reason to ever do that. Deleting your own is fine (even then I'd have preferred for a "message deleted" to remain) but that was in it since long ago.
