STREAM COMMISSION WEEKEND
Hi! I'm back and I got all the power supply I need C:
To celebrate that and to catch up a bit on all the pending and new ideas I'm planning on making a Stream Commission Weekend . I'will be streaming at random hours, but throughout most of the day today, tomorrow and the day after that (29 - 31 March) with short breaks in the meantime (I need my coffee you see *nods with a serious face*) and a longer (an hour or two) break in the middle (around 5PM - 6PM CET).
Everyone is invited to come and watch and if you wish for a commission, post your idea for the usuall Idea Contest.
For Newcomers:
To see how stream commissions look like, check out my gallery - most of my latest works are just that. You'll figure out which are Stream Commissions for sure ;)
There is no list, nor a pre-determined amount of slots to be taken. It all depends on how much time we have and the complexity of commissions taken.
It's around 2 - 4hrs to finish a commission. My minimum ever was 30 minutes, maximum, I believe, 7hrs (but that was a character creation and it always takes more time).
I won't accept anything overly complex for a stream commission.
You must be present on stream at the moment I'm choosing a commissioner I will draw for. This happens in the beginning of the stream and after completion of each previous art. I choose only 1 person at a time.
I choose the commissions I'm going to draw based on an Idea Contest. How it goes:
1) You submit your commission idea through a form available on my Picarto (scroll down from the stream window for commission info and links to my ToS and Commission Form). By submitting the idea you confirm that you read my ToS and accept it. You must be present on the stream to have your idea chosen. If you're not, your idea stays in my database and it's possible to still get it chosen the next time I'm taking a commission when you're present on the stream and you poke me (could be public, could be a whisper) that you still want it done. You can submit as many ideas as you please.
2) I read through my idea database (no worries I use it solely for handling those commissions, I don't trade data, nor allow anyone to see it, won't send you spam nor any other messages not connected to the commission at hand) and I choose the idea I'd like to draw at the moment. If it's not yours there is still a chance, it will be chosen later if you poke me saying that you're still around and still want it done. If there is no such chance (i.e. it's something I wouldn't want to draw - most of those things are mentioned in my ToS) I will notify you immediately.
3) I announce the winner publicly, unless you chose to be anonymous. Then I say the winner wants to stay anonymous, I contact you only via Picarto Whispers and never mention who you are neither on the stream, nor later, posting your commission to FA. All stream commissions will be posted in my gallery, since they're already publicly drawn, so it wouldn't really make sense to do it otherwise xd
4) We discuss the details of the commission (I usually do it via whispers), I price it and ask for your paypal adress, where I send an invoice. Once the payment reaches me I start drawing.
5) I sketch and lineart the chosen commission. To save up time I send the picture to my assistant for putting the flats on it. In the meantime I sketch and lineart another commission, then it goes to my assistant and I do the colour mastering and shading for the first commission, then when it's finished I do the same for the second one.
6) I send you the finished picture via mail (to the adress given in the from) in the full resolution (usually around A4 size, print quality) and I publish it here. The end :)
CAUTION: I reserve the right to stop the stream at any time (I got health issues that may require some attention plus my dog is currently a bit sick and I may need to walk him/take him to the vet if it gets worse). If I end the stream midst making of your commission I will finish it either on the next stream, off-stream (I would work with you on it via mail or discord), or we can set a date for making a stream to finish it if you wouldn't be able to come to the next one - you choose the option that suits you the most.
Most of the people understand that and have no problems with that, but just to be sure everyone knows what this game is about: Idea Contest is well... a contest. It has only one winner at a time. Commissioning process was made into the Idea Contest because I was getting too many ideas submitted to be able to draw them all. There is a chance I will never get to choose your idea.
Why is that so? I got way over 60 undrawn ideas at the moment I'm writing this and this is a number that is growing rapidly each stream. At this rate it's just impossible for me to get them all drawn, even if I were drawing 24/7.
I will never shut the Idea Form down:
1) Not to limit anyone's creativity with their ideas. I know that before the form was made available all the time and it was launched only for short moment, participants had tons of ideas, sometimes briliant, that got forgotten and unused. I don't want to lose any of the ideas, I value them too much and it just hurts me to see some of them lost.
2) Not to limit myself with my options. Please note the commissioned pieces make up to 85% of all my arts. This gives them a great influence on the general profile of my art and thus I need to be able to choose what that profile is going to be.
3) Not to change the Idea Contest into your typical commission list. It was like that at the very beginning - didn't work.
