Catching Up / Favorite Book or Board Game?
It just sunk in that I haven't posted a journal in over four years, and I figured I ought to do something about that.
The last four years have had lots of up and downs. I maintained a solid job, shared an apartment with my best friend, helped Natavisch move in with us by driving cross-country with him, and then eventually we all got a house together! But then within the last six months I lost the job, lost my car, and lost the best friend. But hey, still holding on to the house and Natavisch! We've been in a rough patch for a while now, but we're hoping things improve soon. In the mean time, I've been able to catch up with friends, cuddle up with some books, and construct a good number of crosswords. So it's not all bad.
On the subject of books, if you want to share your favorite (or else give a recommendation), please do! Always nice to add more to the wishlist. The same, of course, goes for board games!

I got some star wars books
And one by scott westerbfeld
Star Wars books are always fun, especially the new canon. Halo books, Dead Space, anything by David Levithan, Something Like Summer series by Jay Bell, The Client or The Pelican Brief by John Grisham, The Adventures of TJ & Amal, the Teahouse webcomic, the Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra comics; I've got em!
As for board games, I'm fond of Terraforming Mars and in regards to books give the Dragonlance books a try if you like fantasy.
Terraforming Mars is pretty good, yes! Any game with a drafting mechanic tends to jump up my list.
And you know, I read one of the Dragonlance books years ago (and I did enjoy it), maybe I ought to look into them again. I think I was largely put off by how many books there are. ><
