Want to earn a free character? Please read this journal!

After I adopted my Tailia, I've made a point to not adopt a character unless I both liked the design and was able to easily come up with at least a background for them.
If that phrasing seemed a little odd, that's intentional. Tailia isn't the first character I've adopted. For reasons I still don't understand, I participated in one of those "egg adopts", where you pick a color and get a character. Some of them are a complete surprise on what you get, others let you pick the character's sex, species, and/or body type. This https://www.furaffinity.net/view/26862457/ happened to be one of those. Why I did it, I'm not sure. Must have been an impulsive thing.
Thing is, I couldn't figure out what to do with the character I ended up getting: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/26991518/ . Sure, I liked the design and coloring, but I still had a blank slate that my brain just couldn't fill in. After that, I decided to never to adopt an unseen, unknown character design and only buy ones that I know what to do with.
So, what to do with the one I've had for a whole year without using? I feel weird about reselling a character and I wouldn't mind giving it away, but here's the thing: I think it's a travesty when an artist comes up with a unique or interesting design, it's bought, and the buyer never does anything with them, ever (such is the case with this snake woman). How to ensure that it goes to someone who will actually use it?
Hence the contest. Rather than a flat resell or a bidding war, you'll have to earn the character if you want it. The rules are simple.
1. Send me a note that says "2019 April Character Contest". Your note must have this subject line or I'll ignore it.
2. Come up with the following:
Name:
Nationality:
Occupation:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Background: (This part is optional but filling one out can improve your chances of winning)
3. The contest will end on May 31st at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. I will read the entries on June 1st and whichever I like the most or find the most interesting, will be the winner.
4. If you make a mistake or want to change something, you have until the contest ends to do so. If you make a correction and/or a new description, you must use the same subject line with V2 (and heaven forbid, V3, V4, etc. if you really messed up or is that undecided). I will delete the earlier entry without reading it.
5. And finally, this contest is open to anyone, not just my watchers (although new watchers are always appreciated!) Even if you don't want the character, if you have a friend you think might be interested, feel free to send them this journal!
And that is is. The winner will receive my copy of the character's picture and I'll ask
to switch the description to say that you are the owner.
If you have any questions, please ask them in this journal. Have a good day, everyone.
