On April 9, 2019 the world-spanning network of telescopes called the Event Horizon Telescope zoomed in on the supermassive monster in the galaxy M87 to create this first-ever picture of a black hole. Image, seeing something more than 50 million light years away; something with so much gravity that even light can not escape it. So how did we see it? We did not. We see the very hot, very fast moving dust and matter swirly around it. This accretion disk is extremely hot and glows brightly. Here is a explanation in English to explain the fascinating details.
