Freelance artists and Game Industry
Hello everyone! Do you know by chance, how much do freelance artists charge for illustrations in game industry per artwork? Something like a card art or sprite art for League of Legends, for example. Or personal artworks from the same artists. This information seems to be almost impossible to find

He has an email in his contact info. Perhaps you could talk with him?

They've both since moved on from Riot Games (and good for them), but are both very talented, experienced, and still active in the industry.
I think Iron Stylus has his DMs open and is pretty approachable (I tagged him in a little pixel art doodle I made of Leona once and he responded to me).
I've never personally interacted with Katie De Sousa, but she's active on Twitter and very supportive of women in gaming.
If you're selling to Wizards of the Coast, for example, their budget is going to be a lot higher per image than an indie game developer.
It'll also strongly depend on if you're doing a one-off illustration for them, or doing an entire sequence. (For many projects, the cost of paying you a salary per year can be cheaper than trying to buy piecemeal, but then you're liable to become The Project Artist instead of Artist Who Draws X. Make sure your skillset is broad enough to be successful in that!)
