I think the internet is a tool and I remember thinking, when I first was on it in the 90s, how amazing it was that we could meet people from all over the world. Living in my small town in eastern Oregon, having this newfound access to the world was a revelation. Now, I take it for granted (as I'm sure many do), but I am acutely aware of how short this life is.
Love and friendships are all that matter in life. It seems like a simple statement, but 'love' and 'friendship' are words that encompass an incredible multitude of subjects. They're just guiding lights to keep around when you're trying to get through this journey.
