Yes, you read that right. I've been debating back and forth about whether or not I should go public with this, but I feel like it's the right time. Those who have been following me for awhile will know I've been struggling with anxiety, depression, and panic attacks, and my mom and I have finally come to terms with the fact that a psychiatric service dog is the best thing for me. Trust me, I've done tons of research and a lot of soul searching, and will be very responsible with the steps I take. I'm so ready to have a life, to have independence, and this animal will be a big part in helping me achieve that. I plan to train the dog myself with some assistance from outside trainers, as not only do I not have the money to get one from a service dog school, but I also just feel it's the best course of action for my situation.

With all that said, I need to raise some funds for this. There's the cost of the dog itself, the training, the vet care, and the supplies. Pretty substantial.

Lastly, even if you can't donate, if as many people as possible could share this journal and get the word out, that would mean the world to me. The idea that soon I might actually be able to go out by myself, to take public transportation, to drive, to not constantly want to just hide away, is so overwhelming to me. This dog will be my everything, and I'll work as hard as I have to, to get him in my life.
