See, at least Detective Pikachu isn't actually set in the real world, and the Pokemon world is similar enough to the real one that they can get away with it. This, though...they really need to stop with this "cartoon character in the real world" bullshit that Smurfs kicked off.

To be fair, this isn't the first time the Sonic franchise has tried this, and I will never refer to the human lead of that movie as anything other than "Chris Thorndyke".

Then again, there's no need to be fair to this movie. I came into the trailer thinking it would be awful and it still was worse than I expected.

in less than 48 hours, this video has accumulated over 300 thousand dislikes, and considering any reaction videos made of the trailer are almost immediately slapped with copyright BS to cover them up, I'm thinking Paramount paid for the likes.

Also, back when just the concept art was released, fans had ALREADY fixed Sonic's appearance; there's a picture floating around of a Sonic made in the same style the movie is using that actually looks perfect.

wow, so he did. let's hope they can pull off a miracle in just a few months. hell, I'd be MORE THAN HAPPY if they made the changes and had to release the movie late
