usually it's better to have as few as possible and do a spread like 1-5-10-15-50

- the 1$ tier for the tip jar, they get nothing more than the same stuff you give for free... but in their mail.
- the 5$ tier for "everything and in hight res",
- the 10$ tier for "you also get the PSDs",
- the 15$ for the "private [insert here a text chat program, lately it is discord] server to talk about stuff"
- the $50 tier for "you want monthly sketchy commissions? Sure!"

I would limit it to a few tiers as possible (3-4). As a Patreon user, it's kind of annoying to have to decipher every single person's tier structure if they have multiple options, but it depends on the context. I've also purchased tiers and was not awarded what I thought was included, and if that happens, I back out 100% and will not be a Patreon for that user.

I will either be the $5 or the $10 crowd to support you, with hopefully an opportunity to commission you when/if you open for availability.

Disclaimer: this is my opinion. I disagree with having a "tip" patreon - I think that's just stupid. If someone wants to tip you, get a ko-fi and link it. I do not like $1 Patreon tiers. If someone signs up for you on Patreon, they should be given something for their desire to support you. $3 tier with HD art is totally acceptable.

I would love to limit it to three-four, but I'll probably end with six (five to be honest, six will be for people who just want to give more just because no reason) at the beginning to see what people like the most. I have already prepared my descriptions for all tiers, I think these are quite clear and simple, but if you would like to take a look and let me know what do you think, I would be really gratefull! Seems like you using patreon for some time already and your opinion should be helpfull!

Yeah, once upon a time I though about making a tip patreon, but I gave up quickly and change my mind. However I don't think $1 tiers are wrong, I did a little research at the beginning of preparation of creating an account and seems like quite a lot of people has $1 tier, and a lot of people are interested in it. So I think it at least worh a try.

I am on a limited budget (my income is fixed, it's me that's broke), so lately I'm supporting artists who do have $1 tiers (sorry, Silwolffe I can't afford your level of spending). Even so, there are one or two content creators who are no longer earning my support (I fired one today).

For every three to five $1 supporters you discourage, think how hard it will be to coax a new $3 or $5 patron.
