In every subculture / fandom / whatever the fuck etc.. lay those within it that the rest of the majority will look down upon as an embarassment, this could be one of those cases ( I'm not judging ). You're in the fandom for things that are not as fucked up as some but you enjoy. Just don't associate yourself with those who you feel misrepresent the good of the fandom in your eyes and you'll be fine.

Besides.. no matter where you go.. no matter whom you're associated with, there will be those that hate you regardless, stay with the fandom if you enjoy it, disregard those who you feel tarnish it, and tell those who are so ignorant to generalize everyone with the worst of a culture to fuck off and disregard there close-minded jumping the gun rationale.

I assure you theres probably a guy out there with a tattoo on his back of a KKK member raping a black chick on his back or something incomparably worse, its a freedom of expression and if anything I find it laughable that they would imprint upon their bodies something of that content which will last the rest of hteir lives unless they get some expensive surgery.

Theres nothing wrong with them getting a tattoo of questionable content on their bodies... Its just downright funny that they did. Hardly an injustice. But I sympathize with you, I don't necessarily like seeing some parts of the fandom, but I keep my head up knowing that I'm not apart of those aspects of it, and neither are you.

actually it looked more like uncia was just trying to stop people from commenting in such a negative fashion like that. hence he stated <threadcaps> not once but 3 times before you even posted your comment on it iccy. give the guy a break he was trying to prevent any further drama as that surely could turn into another massive flamewar about baby furs like that one that occured when dragoneer posted that vote on the forums as to whether to allow it or not. you do remember that don't you?

evryone has their own kinks and some are nastier then others but remember it's not up to you to judge others based on what they like. personally i agree with you in that it is messed up but you gotta understand there is nothing you can do about it.

Best approach IMO is to make what you think is "positive" in the fandom shine brighter and, at worst, show tolerance for all the quirks that exist in pretty-much /everyone/ around here (both from a fandom p.o.v. *and* IRL).
