Lack of activity explanation
6 years ago
Hey guys, sorry for the extended radio silence the past several months. I figure it'd be best to explain what's been going on this whole time;
I got hired for an indie game to work on art and animation, though due to signing an NDA, I'm unable to show what I've done for it just yet.
I've also been progressively going through the commissions I still owe several people, for that, I apologize to those who've been waiting, I've been juggling what I can with the other stuff going on.
Also been going through some of the Re-Animateds I signed up for, thankfully they've all had their deadlines extended.
Stress has also been a factor with real-life issues like our downstairs tenant leaving our first floor of our house wrecked, so we have no means to have another tenant until the damage is repaired, which is far too expensive for my mother and I to afford.
On top of that, with our car being on lease, we also can't afford to continue paying for it, so we have no choice but to give it up.
It also doesn't help that I've been trying to push through burnout, so needing to rest, but at the same time needing to earn money via art... it's tough to manage to find a balance that won't kill me.
I should also point out that while I launched my Patreon not long ago, I was rushed to do so due to Patreon updating its fees soon where I'd earn less and I wanted to have the original fees grandfathered in.
Despite having Patreon now up, I'm choosing to keep it dormant until I actually have time to focus on it. So if anyone pledged or plan to pledge in the future, rest assured I'll make sure you won't be charged until I can actually make stuff for it.
So unfortunately with all this going on, it's very unlikely I'll be able to do my yearly Paw Day sale... but who knows, maybe I'll hold it later in the year to make up for it.

As far as your Patreon thing goes, you could set it up so people who just want to support you in general can just pledge on that merit alone if you wanted to, though I understand wanting to make proper time for it.
I really hope your projects work out for you man, and whenever you're allowed to officially say anything, I really am interested to see your work for the indie game you're working with! =D
Of course we are worried for your inactivity, but it's pretty much justified, especially since you are working hard ^^
