Last I heard, on Facebook, was that he was moved into hospice care. Which, sadly, is not a good sign.

Sorry to hear that his cancer was that far advanced.

I had a few commissions as well as purchasing some of his original works in the past. It will be another sad day when we lose another iconic character in this community.

Shon, also known as King Cheetah, has been diagnosed with stage four liver cancer and has moved to Tampa Florida for treatment. Currently, the doctors are looking at how to make the best of the time he has remaining. His family is taking care of him. On another note, The Canadian artist gNAW seems to have also been missing, although I hear he's been at some furry conventions of late.
He left one of his wonderful stories, Swing Shift, only half way done.

Hopefully the wonderful art they, and many other artists, won't be lost to us after they pass on. In the case of Mark Wallace, AKA William Blackfox, who passed away in 1997. His family despite the pleas of those flurries close to him, disposed of all his art. Only what was posted on the web remains.

gNAW is ok. He's just been very busy with things.

I know what liver cancer is like; that ended up killing my father back in November 2018. I actually watched him die.

I can't even imagine what Mr. Howell's family is going through. Losing a loved one to cancer is always painful.
