FA accounts are never removed, they just go silent. FA usage is stagnant or shrinking, plus it loses users in huge chunks whenever there's a database hack or admin scandal. So, the longer you're here, the more completely inactive followers you have. And we've both been here a loooong time, so most of our "watchers" are probably dead accounts. Yaaaaay.

The bulk of the fandom seems to dwell on Twitter these days, and I don't understand why. Twitter sucks as a gallery, because Twitter was not MEANT to be a gallery. I guess that's fine for non-artists, but every social corner of Twitter seems filled to the brim with pure, distilled nastiness of every variety imaginable. Noooooo thank you.

Yep. Well, i dont have a patreon, I dont ask for donations, so the only thing I really occasionally look at is feedback in the form of favs and comments. So, that's pretty much stopped here. And with 2000 watchers almost, I would have to assume like 75% of them are dead lol.

Might have to close this place down and move to inkbunny. Or somewhere else.

What Nanimoos said, along with the fact that when an artist doesn't do much, folks don't know to look out for your submissions.

Ive never added much over my time on FA, didnt stop people from giving me 1000s of views and 100s of favs back then.

Maybe this would be a useful thing to ask admins: put a little notice to accounts that have not been accessed to by their owner for a certain amount of time (to be defined). The result will probably be interesting, if not frightening.
Not sure if this could potentially be considered as privacy violation, though...
