Internet has finally been reconnected to the house so life is getting closer to normal for me. I've spent 50+ hours the last 10 days raking and mowing all the storm debris shit out of my yard, and glad to finally be done with that now. Contractor has given me an estimate and I've passed that onto the insurer so ball is in their court now. I'm cautiously optimistic that'll all get approved so now the game is just hurry up and wait. I definitely am very lucky; the damage to my place is all external and was able to stay here the whole time.

Been using my time away to brainstorm plot outlines, picture ideas, and basically everything that I wanted to be doing instead of laying in a house with no AC after working and hauling crap for 8 hours a day. Power came back after a week and things are slowly crawling back into something that could be considered normal.

I was planning on deleting the last journal once I got back, but honestly I was a little overwhelmed by the all the support and comments so I think I'm going to leave it. Thank you to all who responded or took the time to try and reach out to me. It's been a real shitshow and stuff like that really kept the spirits up, so thank you all truly.
