Haven't seen the show, know a bit about the event, was 6 when it went down.

I’ve done research and watched some documentaries about it but there’s something about the way the show is made that just hits you and pulls in so many little details I never knew before. I’m gearing up to watch the third episode now; the end of ep 2 was so intense I almost barfed. XD o_o

I'm watching is now and the show is just amazing. As a person from post-soviet country and ukrainian itself (i live 15 hours away from Chernobyl) i'm amazed how accurate the rebuild of a soviet normal life was made. Really feel like a back in time machine.

I listened to the podcast and the writer himself said he wanted to make this show as accurate as possible out of respect for everyone who was there and who is still there. It's one of the coolest things about the show to me.

Yeah! Thought some russian here kind of reeing, cause people look at soviet union here kind of different ly. Still, i adore this show a lot. So atmospheric, makes you want to do some appreciation to the Chernobyl saviors

I've heard the Russian government is pissed and it made me laugh. And yes, all the people who helped contain that disaster are heroes of the world. It would have been so much worse without them and they had to give up so much.

Thank you for the nightmares, Razz. I've known you for 10 years, and you've shown some crazy stuff. But that thing? THAT'S A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF CRAZY... I LOVE IT!!! MORE, PLEASE?!?

Honestly, I don't know of anything on Earth that's creepier than the Elephant's Foot. o_o But if you want to know more/be more upset, I recommend reading "Voices of Chernobyl" and "Midnight at Chernobyl". And watch any documentary about it; the Seconds From Disaster episode goes into some good detail and there's an amazing film where they interview some of the miners that are still alive.

Other unsettling things: any documentary about a famous serial killer. Air Crash Investigation, Seconds From Disaster, the Bohpal plant disaster... I know a lot of disturbing things, I guess. XD

While I'm sort of pro-nuclear power (I mean, what else do we have right now?), there are SO many times where we've almost nuked ourselves into extinction. XD
