Crossing A Big Line
I can't believe this has to be said at all, but here we are. DO NOT MESSAGE ME TELLING ME I NEED TO PUT MY CAT DOWN. How insanely insensitive and inappropriate. I have been Loaf's caretaker for over a decade, I don't need anyone's "objective" view. This is not your call. This isn't even your place to SUGGEST. I don't need a stranger's view on this. I know her health intimately, I have been treating her kidney disease for a year. I know what I'm willing to do to help her, and my husband and I confer with her care team and carefully consider each step before we take it. I am doing everything I can, and when the time comes, I will help her pass too. That may be in a few days, or a few months. I have no idea. I will not let her suffer, nor will I give up on giving her any amount of happy, comfortable time she may have left in her. When you cross this line, you are not helping me. You are not helping her. It does not need to be said. You are doing nothing but rubbing salt in the wound. STOP.
To those who have donated, helped spread the word, or offered words of kindness and encouragement, thank you! I'm posting updates in the description of the donation photo as I get them. I'm still working on commissions as best I can, but forgive me for being a little slower than usual.
