15 years is a long damn time to be doing this shit, hahaha.
It's always been a fun ride, though. Watching people break through and turn deviantArt into the state that causes it to be made fun of today was a hoot. There weren't as many people doing this kind of art, so you actually had more than 5 minutes after something new was revealed to call dibs on being first to "ruin" it.
I had some serious issues with anatomy back then. I was just starting out being an online entity that people payed attention to (for whatever reason. I know the reason, but it's still weird to me) and I kind of reveled in that attention and didn't really think much in the way of personal development and artistic improvement. You can see it with how bady I jump around in quality, how some pictures can suddenly be better than others. I was using references and mimicking stuff, but felt guilty until I figured out years later references weren't bad.
You'll see a slow improvement for the next few years. I started asking friends for critique, started getting more into art help books. All of this being self-taught stuff. It'll be a fun ride!

Man, it was some time before I got into references and critique- the latter especially is incredibly helpful for artistic development. Glad to hear you’re still goin at it 👍
